Everything has been great since my last update.
So, here is all the new.

I got accepted to the UW. I'm leaning towards them right now. About 85%.

I had a great birthday on Friday. The days festivities started out with a potluck of grand proportions. This potluck was fiesta themed. I brought cup cakes. We also had rice, ground beef, beans, and all the burrito mixin's. It wasn't as well planed as last potluck but we still had plenty of foods and people.

For dinner I went with Meeeem and Mike to a Spanish (not Mexican) restaurant. It was the most delicious thinks I had ever had. We orders some tapas (small plates of stuff) and it was amazing.
Then for my birthday I got a new watch. I had been wanting one for a long time. Erin got me a colorful jacket/shirt thing. A web cam and a ski trip in about a week and a half.

Today was my last day of classes. Now it is just finals. two on wednesday and one on Thursday. then I am done.

So presidents weekend was great. Started it off with a day of snowboarding. I saw Erin's friend Huy (spelling?) up there and we talked for a bit. It was a great day snowboarding. But like always afterwards my hands have dried out and been cracking. the only down side of snowboarding for me.

The next day I went to Derek's down in Tacoma for some PowerPointing. Erin and i made a great presentation about cutlery. I got home late that night and then I went off to Western in the morning with Gabby, Demetria, and Patrick.

We checked out the campus for a wile and looked at all of the sculptures around campus. Then we went into town so check it out down there. We cruised around, found a park with a mushy field to play a bit of Frisbee, and then went searching for lunch. We decided on the Olive Garden because people like that place and Demetria thought she know where it was. After of wile of aimlessly searching we started asking bikers. The all said it was on Guide Meridian Street. Then we found someone that could tell us where that was. We searched all around for this street. We could find Meridian street by not Guide Meridian. Soon enough we found the Olive garden on just plain Meridian street. No one was able to tell us why the called it Guide. It was my first Olive Garden experience and I enjoyed it.

Then we went back up to the campus where we met up with Patrick's friend Tommy who recognized me. But I had no idea who he was. After a bit of hanging around campus we left and brought Tommy with us back to Burien. I wasn't ever able to meet up with Gracie. When she was at the campus I was in the town and then when she was in town I was to the campus.

Then that night it was Amba's birthday so I went over there and we played some video games, poker, and watched Scarface. Another night of staying out late.

And now its sunny and I'm hoping for a great day snowboarding.

So, Happy Valentines everyone.

This week has felt so short for me. I had two tests on Monday so we didn't do much in class. Tuesday I took the day off school for band. Wednesday was just normal but we watched a bit more of our movie in history club. Today it was sunny and felt like the spring so the classes just flew by.

And this weekend i'm hoping for snowboarding on Saturday. Its been about 3 week since I last went because the pass closures cancel my bus.

Sunday should be an excellent PowerPoint book club party.

And Monday I'm probably going up to Western with Patrick, Demetria, and Gabby.

Today I skipped all of my classes at the college. Its Ok because yesterday was big test day. So instead of schooling I stayed with the band for out rehearsal and clinic with the San Diego Marine Band.

The Marines gave a good presentation. I wouldn't ever join but they have a fun sounding band. They gave us a sample of what basic training would be like by having Nick come down, stand at attention, and yell at him in the stereotypical Marine way. It was hilarious. They answered a few questions, we played for them, and then we went off to sectionals.

Tonight is the service area concert with the middle and elementary school bands. Not fun. I listened in on them playing the main song that we all will play together and it was rough. multiple tempos going on at he same time because there are about 100 kids not watching Babcock conduct.

Now I have to decide if I'm going on the band trip. I'm leaning towards yes right now.

It has been a wile. I have been busy and sick. I am finally not sick now.

So taday would have been snowboarding but the pass was closed, same with last week. So instead I get to do some physics homework and go to a hockey game.

Last night I went out to the jazz band to see "Hot Java and Cool Jazz" - Sponsored my Starbucks. It was all of out greatest high school bands in the area. Garfield, Roosevelt, and others. It so awesome listening to them and think that these people are only in high school and traveling all around hte world for contests. The bands were great. I like the first ones the most because it wasn't my bed time yet. There was a LOT of talking about how Starbucks on the stage and a small alumni group played the "Starbucks Blues"

Thursday I went to swing dance club. It was alright. Not many people there and the advanced class was stuff that I didn't enjoy much.

For Jazz History Ben had me and someone else bring in our tenors because we were learning about the Great tenor players in early swing. He had us just show some of the sax playing techniques like vibrato and tone. Then he had both of us take a couple courses of blues. Both of us did horrible with our few seconds warm up. Not fun.

I am so sorry. I have fallen behind on posting. But its not my fault. Erin got me sick.

I had a good 5 or 6 days of fever starting the Sunday before last. And now I have a bad cough. Even worse, today I forgot to bring my water to school. But, I ran into Patrick and he had 4 bottles for some reason and he gave me one.

Now just to wait till I'm not sick.

I'm going snowboarding this weekend. I hope the weather stays good. But also that they get some fresh snow.

Yep schools going good.

MLK week. On Tuesday I went to a thing about Dr King. It presented by Dr. Jared Ball who is a big conspiracy theorist but he didn't go into much detail about his stuff. The overall presentation was good.

Today I saw one of the students from the documentary Boys of Baraka present. It was good. He was a great speaker and I had seen the documentary in my sociology class so it was very interesting.

Yesterday was history club and we had record setting attendance. 16 whole people. Much better than 4 people the week before. No we can finally start doing stuff.

OK.
First week of the quarter.
Went pretty good. I'm loving my classes.

Jazz History - starting off as a slow class. Learning what a trumped sounds like and the saxophone family. Fun stuff. NOT. But we have been listening to some music in there. Today Ben played a Jazz version of the Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit.

Physics - Also starting off slow. We are reviewing the stuff from last quarter which I all know.

Spanish - Its doing great. Julianne left the class though. So I bought the text books from her. The class is a bit weird. It follows a very dramatic and repetitive soap opera. But I'm remembering how to speak Spanish.

Parking - Had one day parked in the tennis court area. Another day where I almost had to but there were just a few spots.

History Club - We met up on Wednesday. 4 members and 2 staff members. We were just planning on the fun club things that we could do this quarter.

Tonight - Basket ball game at highline. Uggh. A long one too.

Weekend - Snowboarding!
» New Classes
Oh, the garage is so cold. I will have to turn off the heater and computer and heater soon because it will make no difference on the temperature.

My weekend was uneventful.

So, today was the first day of classes. I drove down early to miss the first week of the quarter parking problems. My first class was Jazz History. It sounds like a good class. Then Physics 201 with Igor. He is a great teacher. And most of my old lab group is in the class. Finally, I had Spanish. The teacher was out sick so we just got the syllabus and left. The class should be fun. It had Julianne, Patrick, and Derek. A great group of people. Especially for a spanish class where most of what you do is talk.
» Vashon Pics
Here are the pictures from the Vashon Adventure the other day. Thank you Gracie for taking them.

Here we all are at the bluffs. Its dark and you can't see where we are, but we were there.

And the awesome tow truck that Noah showed us.

And us at the playground/school area looking at our glow stick.

There were some ferry pictures but you can't tell we are on a ferry. Its just dark.
» LOST
I had a great night of watching Lost last night. Its been about 3 or 4 months and I'm now half way through season 3.

I had a nice LOST/Spaghetti party with Alec, Erik, Gracie, Johnny, Heather, Ryan, and Erin.

My friends made me a space book too. I'm trying to figure out that stuff now. and it had been sending just about every update to my email. I got about 10 emails in the first 30min of having it set up.

Well, school starts up in 4 days. Jazz history, Physics 201, and Spanish 102. Fun stuff. I'm looking forward to them. they all seen like good classes. Especially jazz history. I love Jazz and history classes are always the best.

well, you may have been amazed by my first post but I am actually doing it again. I didn't want to have one very long one so I have broken my week up into two.

So, this started with me getting home. I played some of my new Christmas video games (which I hadn't been able play since I was snowboarding) Then I went out on an adventure.

Erik, Alec, Johnny, and Gracie came over and I drove to the ferry. Erik and Gracie hid in the back of my car under my piece of security cardboard so they wouldn't have to pay to get on. It didn't matter. When it was our turn in line the guy looked in the can and only saw driver and 1 passenger, not even Alec in the back seat. It all worked out nicely.

Then we met up with Gracie's friend Noah (I think it is spelled like that) and her gave us the grand tour of Vashon. It is was mainly where is friends houses are (but they are all in rehab) and where his favorite stop sign is. He took us over to the bluffs where we hiked around in the dark and played with a lit Frisbee.

Then we went to the schools on Vashon for a good playground. It had one of the carousel things that spin. It was fun but I hate to be dizzy.

Then after playing a few racing car games on the ferry we went home.

Then it was new years time.

I decided to wear my SLUT shirt.

And all of the old playgroup neighbors came over. we had fun rolling beautiful katamaries

(Got the game for Meeeeem this Christmas)

We watched that ratatouille movie which I thought was pretty good and they played a bit of the paper-game.

Then it was fun watching Seattle's firework show fail.

well I hope to post more in the coming months. If I don't yell at me and get me to.
» I'm back.
Ok guys or whoever is left on LJ now, I am back. It is my new years resolution to post. I saw that my last was after I had gone to hemp fest years ago.

so, Here it goes.

Christmas was great. The day after I left to go snowboarding with my dad.

MissionRidge 008
We went up to Mission Ridge (Near Wenatchee) This is last years picture but it hasn't changed much. the first day we just skiied a half day. The snow was OK but it was sunny. Near the end of the day my foot cramped up and I was in pain.

Next day we got a full day in. It was windy, cloudy, and snowy but he snow was awesome. Then we met up with my Dad's friends and their families.

The last day (Friday) We went up and the wind had shut down the top lift "The Liberator," so we had to ski the slower lift next to it. It was alright but hte line was long. Near the end of hte day we managed to link up with every one else and we had a big group of 15 people going down the hill. I was the only boarder.

Instead of going home the next day we went to the cabin at Lake Wenatchee. We dug out a spot in the snow to put the car and then walked down the big snowy hill to the cabin. The snow was chest deep powder. It was crazy. We dug a hole into the snow to get into the cabin and to find the fire wood. I kept that fire nice and hot the whole time we were there.

We left on sunday and had a slow ride cross Steven's Pass in the snow.

How that for the first of many posts to come?

I'm back from the cabin, a week of swimming, good weather, windsurfing, bikeing, and boating.

Yesterday Meeeem and I went down to Hemp Fest!

Lots of hippies and their smells. Lots of pitbulls, the number 1 choice of dog for hippies. Lots of fancy glass flower vases too. You would think that they are so big and long that they would just fall over, but lots of people were buying them.

Hempfest 001
I even wore my tie-dye shirt to fit in.

Hempfest 002
and there is Meeem, Lots of people there. When we were leaving there was a massive line to get in.

After I was all hemped-out and leaving, a white monk offered me a book. I talked to him for a few minutes asking about the book and what it is about. I then told him that I would read it and he gave it to me!
Hempfest 003

After I left Hempfest I went to Bud's Jazz Records in Pioneer Square. I looked arround at hte vinyls but they were expensive. I like goodwill's $1 for each record price.

Yesterday my Mom calls me up and asks if I want to see some jazz sax guy. I check him out online and he sounds pretty good, so I hop on the metro to seattle and meet up with my mom. She tells me that she is At Mortins Steak House on 5th Ave between pike and pine. I go down there and I can't find it. I call my Mom a few more time asking where it is and she says they have a red carpet our. I go up and down the block about 4 times trying to find it. Then I'm told it is actually on 6th.

So, I meet up with Meem and we go to the Triple Door to see David "Fathead" Newman. He was good, tenor and I bit of alto, bebop songs, and a few songs with Jazz flute. I din't have any cash to get a CD.

So...

Not much goin' on.

I leave for camp on Sunday. This one time at band camp... and I came back with a sprained ankle.

I haven't been doing much, but its summer. Its nice that way. Just watched The Hills Have Eyes on my computer. It ended up being a good movie.

Last weekend I went to Camp "B" down at the point and went intertubing. So much fun. and then for the next few days I couldn't move my arms.
